Pregnancy is such an incredible feeling that, unfortunately for our male counterparts, only women can experience. Not to say that men don’t enjoy pregnancy, they just will never know what it is like to carry a baby inside of them. From the moment a woman finds out she is pregnant she will go through an emotional roller coaster of elation, worry, happiness, and fear. She will giggle, she will cry, she will laugh and sing. The second she realizes she is responsible for another person’s life her mothering instincts kick in and she becomes protective. She will want to know all the ins and outs of pregnancy, and the changes her body will go through and all the changes she has to make in her life all come to the forefront of her thoughts. She wants to learn everything she can so that she can be the best mother she can be.
Of course your emotions all depend on whether or not you were actually prepared to be pregnant. Planned or not, a pregnancy does have a way of changing everything about you. Not only will your body go through some amazing and down right incredible physical changes, but mentally you are going to experience change as well. Now this can easily be explained away with influx of hormones you are going to go through and the fact that your flat and toned belly is going to become a beautiful round pregnant belly. But there is more to pregnancy besides cravings and hormones and learning about all the pregnancy stages will help to keep you sane.
For most women being pregnant is only one of the most awesome feelings and experiences a woman can have. Women new to pregnancy are in awe of what is going on inside their body and want to learn as much about pregnancy as they possibly can. The need to know absolutely everything is part of the mothering instinct. Feeling the flutters of movement for the first time in your pregnant belly can easily make a mother to be cry with happiness. It so often feels like soft tickles coming from inside and further strengthens the bond of mother and child. The unconditional love that a mother has for her unborn child is only rivaled by the unconditional love that the mother will feel with her child is born.
